Reminder: Upcoming Halloween Activities at @ Westwood

Hello Westwood Community,

Many students and families recognize October 31st as Halloween.  We also understand that there are some students and families who do not.  In order for all students to be able participate on this day, we are brainstorming new ways that this day can be a special day for everyone.  If your child does not wish to participate in wearing a costume, we encourage them to dress up in their favourite outfit on this day.  Some examples could be dressing in a favourite colour, favourite pair of shoes, or perhaps a favourite hat that they don’t normally wear to school.  If you have any other ideas, we would love to hear from you!  If you wish to share an idea with the school, please email us at [email protected]

Additionally, for those students wanting to wear a traditional type of costume, we kindly ask that toy weapons are not permitted on school property as part of a costume.  Please keep these accessories at home.  From a safety perspective, we ask that full face covering masks are also kept at home.  This will allow us to easily identify any student in the event of an emergency.
