Dear Tiffany Hills families

We appreciate your partnership with us as we work together to serve your child. Included below are school news for October and November.

School Council

Our next school council meeting will be held on Tuesday October 22 from 6:30-7:30pm, all families are welcome to attend.

 

Pizza Day

On Wednesday October 23, pizza day will begin. Students will receive their pizza order for nutrition break 2, 1:15-1:55pm.

 

Photo Day

This year’s Photo Day is scheduled for October 29. There will also be a photo retake day on November 26 for students.

 

PA Day

Friday November 1st is a Professional Activity Day, there will be no school for students.

 

School Bus Safety

Student safety is important to us. We have scheduled School Bus Safety assemblies for students in K-grade 8 on November 4. The assemblies will be facilitated by school bus safety experts.

 

Reports

On November 19 progress reports will be sent home. If your child wrote the EQAO assessments in the last school year, their EQAO results will also be sent home with the progress report.

 

Teacher- Families Interviews

This year interviews may be scheduled to meet educators on the evening of November 21^st or during the day on November 22^nd. More information will be sent home by educators in the coming weeks.

 

Vaccine Clinic

On November 25 there will be a vaccine clinic at the school, by Public Health Hamilton. The plan is to offer school-based vaccines (Meningitis, Hepatitis B and Human Papillomavirus) to grade 7 students and catch up any grade 8s who may have missed a dose this year while in grade 7.

 

Volunteers

Volunteers are important to our Tiffany Hills school community. There are several opportunities for volunteers to participate in at the school such as pizza day, field trips, reading buddies and more. We welcome volunteers all through the year.
