End of the 2025 Calendar Year School News

Dear Tiffany Hills families,

We thank you for your continued partnership with us to serve your child(ren). As we approach the end of the 2025 calendar year, we have listed some school news for December and January.

 

Reminder about Teacher-Families Interviews

Teacher- Families Interviews are this Thursday November 20th in the evening or during the day on Friday November 21^st. If you have any questions, please contact your child(ren) homeroom teacher(s).

 

Winter weather

Now that the weather has changed, we are asking that your child(ren) have two pairs of footwear at school – an indoor pair of running shoes for the classroom and gym, as well as an outdoor boot for nutrition break. This will help us have a safe and cleaner school for everyone.

We are also asking that your child(ren) dress according to the weather conditions. This will ensure that they are comfortable when outside for nutrition breaks and other activities.

 

Winter Break

The scheduled winter break is December 22 to January 2, the first day back to school is Monday January 5. We wish you a wonderful winter break.

 

Drop off, Pick Up and Parking

We value the relationships that we have with our neighbours around the school, we kindly ask that when you are dropping off or picking up your child(ren), please be respectful and do not block the driveways of our neighbours or turn in their driveways.

To ensure safety for students, staff, families and the community, we also encourage you to access the parking spots on the side streets to reduce the congestion in front of the school.

Please do not stop or park in any “Fire Access Routes”, for the safety of all, they must always be clear for emergency vehicles.

School Council

Our next school council meeting will be held on Tuesday January 20th from 6:30-7:30pm, all families are welcome to attend. Please also access past minutes on our school website at https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/tiffanyhills/school-council/

 

PA Day

Our next Professional Activity Day is scheduled for Friday January 23^rd, there will be no school for students.
