Daily School Route
Dear Tiffany Hills’ Families,
Please take a moment to complete a 5-minute survey about school transportation by April 4th, 2025. You can access the survey at https://schoolwalk.planlocal.ca/hamilton/
Your responses will help inform community design and programming efforts to support families with choosing active and/or sustainable transportation. This will include recommendations for the creation of ‘Student Routes’ to School. Student Routes are common walking routes to school, that are designed to be safe, convenient, and playful for students to get to/from school. Your input is valuable, whether your family walks, bikes, drives, or takes the school bus.
The survey asks questions about:
- How your family gets to school (e.g., walk, bike, car, bus) and why
- Opportunities to make walking/wheeling routes safer and/or more convenient
- The route your family takes when walking/wheeling to school
When kids walk or bike, they are better prepared to learn, interact with others, and deal with the challenges of the day. The Daily School Route (DSR) is an organization working with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) to help families choose active transportation (walking, biking, etc.) to get to school or the bus stop.
