Updates from Tiffany Hills October 5, 2018.

Meet the Teacher BBQ:  This coming Thursday October 11, 2018 all students and families are welcome to join us at Tiffany Hills for a BBQ provided by the Ancaster Lions Club, meet your child’s teacher and see the school and classrooms.  Please join us anytime between 4:30 and 6:30 PM.

Re-organization at Tiffany Hills: It has been an extremely busy September for our students, staff and families.  With our school re-organization, many classes had new students arrive, and others leaving for new classrooms.  This has resulted in smaller class sizes for most of our classes, and more straight-grade classes.  A difficult process for students and I want to thank our parents for your understanding and the conversations you had with your children to help them understand the change.  I’d like to share my appreciation for our staff for working collaboratively in grade teams to plan transition activities all week to support their students and help to ensure we provided the least disruptive moves possible.  While adjustment will still take time, I have every confidence that the new friendships and relationships formed within smaller, single-grade classes will be positive and support student inclusion and achievement.

Class Photo Day:  Picture day came and went smoothly on Friday.  So many students dressed for beautiful individual and class pictures!  If your child was absent on Friday, or you are not happy with the photo taken when it arrives home, our Picture Re-take day will be:  Tuesday November 13, 2018.

Our next School Council Meeting will be Wednesday October 10, 2018 at 6:30.

Parking Reminders:  Please ensure that you are not parking and leaving your car unattended in the “Kiss & Ride” area of our parking lot near the bus loop either in the morning or at dismissal time.  This is a quick drop off or pick up area only.  If you must leave your car to walk your child in to school or pick them up, please park in marked parking spaces only or on the street.  We are not permitted to have cars parked in fire zones or along any lane ways which are reserved for buses and emergency vehicles only.  Thank you for your assistance in ensuring that all Tiffany Hills students arrived to school on time and safely.
