April Newsletter

Hello Tapleytown Families,

What a fantastic month it has been at Tapleytown School! Our halls have been buzzing with activity, laughter, and learning as students and staff participated in a wide range of events and experiences.

We have started a new initiative where each classroom is taking part in fun weekly activities. Our first challenge was to name our teams. Ask your student what their classroom team name is. This will be a fun way  to celebrate spring together.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Shelli Kowalyshyn to Tapleytown, who will be our new permanent Head caretaker.  We are so pleased to have her on board.

We also Welcome Ms. Kljuco to JKSKC!  We hope she enjoys her time here at Tapleytown!

Parking Lot Drop off – SAFETY

Kiss and Drop Morning Routine

We strongly encourage families to use the school bus whenever possible, as this helps minimize the number of cars in the parking lot during morning drop-off. For those who must drive, we kindly ask that you follow these guidelines:

  1. Enter via the EAST end of the parking lot, which is closer to the school building.
  2. Exit via the WEST end, which is closer to Tim Hortons.
  3. Signage is in place to clearly indicate the appropriate areas for entry and exit.

Please remember:

  • No left turns are allowed once you enter the parking lot, as this is a designated bus route.
  • Have your child ready to exit the vehicle as soon as you stop, to ensure a smooth and quick drop-off process.
  • Accessible parking spots should not be used unless you are authorized to do so.
