We are thrilled to announce that Brandy Hyslop has accepted the position of Office Administrator. Congratulations, Brandy! We look forward to your contributions and are excited to have you as part of our team.

Likewise, we welcome to Gino Beltrano who will be our head caretaker for the remainder of the year.

Many new teachers have started with us since January: Ms. Roth, Ms. Mullin and Ms. Sanelli are awesome new additions to our team at Tapleytown.  In turn, we have had to say goodbye to Ms. Hone and Ms. Hancock.  We will miss them!

Other News

We are thrilled to announce that our school will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on March 21 as a Spirit Day!  To show our support, we would like Tapleytown to participate in the “Lots of Socks” campaign by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks on March 21.  Thank you to Ms. Roth and Mrs. Traplin for getting their class involved with this day and making posters for us.

Clubs/Sports:

Checkers, Eco Club, Junior Girl’s Basketball, H.A.T.T. Club

Phonics Academy: This winter, five of our students took part in the Phonics Academy. They worked very hard and we are proud of their dedication! Thank you to Mrs. Duimstra for organizing and running this wonderful program.

Parking Lot Drop off – SAFETY

Kiss and Drop Morning Routine

We strongly encourage families to use the school bus whenever possible, as this helps minimize the number of cars in the parking lot during morning drop-off. For those who must drive, we kindly ask that you follow these guidelines:

  1. Enter via the EAST end of the parking lot, which is closer to the school building.
  1. Exit via the WEST end, which is closer to Tim Hortons.
  2. Signage is in place to clearly indicate the appropriate areas for entry and exit.

Please remember:

  • No left turns are allowed once you enter the parking lot, as this is a designated bus route.
  • Have your child ready to exit the vehicle as soon as you stop, to ensure a smooth and quick drop-off process.
  • Accessible parking spots should not be used unless you are authorized to do so.
