Thank you

This year has certainly been a unique experience for all of us. Thank you very much to our students, our staff and our families for working together. Families should look for our June Virtual Assembly later this week that represents how our students have continued to shine during these challenging times. Thank you so much to all who have been able to contribute and to Mrs. Bishop for putting it all together. All of us at Rousseau are incredibly proud of the effort, patience and determination that our students have demonstrated. Well done Rams!

We offer special thanks and farewell to Mr. Hampel who will be teaching at a different school in September. We will miss you and we wish you all the best! There will be a staffing update posted at the end of the week.

Later this week, Kindergarten Communications of Learning and Grade 1-6 report cards will be distributed by email. Families will need their child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) to access this information. The OEN can be found on any previous report card, progress report, or Kindergarten Communication of Learning. Within the Communication of Learning and Report Card will be information about your child’s placement for the 2020/2021 school year. We believe in our students’ ability to grow, change and rise to new challenges and we will continue to be there to support them. You might recall that last month, there was a post on our school website that invited families to share information for the school to consider as we created classes. At this time, our classes are set and we cannot consider making changes until the end of September. Thank you for your understanding and support. While there is still uncertainty about what learning will look like in the Fall, HWDSB began planning a few weeks ago and will continue to plan throughout the summer. Families should expect to receive updates as they are made available through the HWDSB Covid-19 webpage. Supports for students continue through the summer and are listed on that webpage.

Everyone at Rousseau hopes that you and your family are able to enjoy the Summer and look forward to seeing everyone in the Fall.
