Brief evacuation today

This morning, Rousseau School was evacuated after staff suspected a gas leak.

Around 8 a.m., we contacted emergency services. A few students, staff and YMCA staff evacuated the school as a precaution. We spent a short time outside.

Crews from Hamilton Fire and Union Gas soon determined the building was safe to re-enter at about 8:40 a.m.
