Ridgemount School Council Meeting and Elections – Mon, Ocober 19, 2020 at 6:00pm

Ridgemount Families,

We are happy to share that our first School Council meeting and School Council election will take place virtually on Monday, October 19th, 2020 at 6:00pm on MS Teams.

The focus of a School Council is to improve student learning, achievemen and well-being and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents/guardians. School Councils are advisroy committees as they provide advice to the Administrators and the School Board. Every school must have a school council. Members include: parents/guardians, Principal/Vice Principal, school staff, and a community representative. The majority of members must be parents/guaridans and the chair or co-chairs must be parents/guardians. You do not have to be a member to attend school counciil meetings.

At this meeting, school council members will elect council leadership positions for the 2020-2021 school year. Please click on the link below if you are interested in being a member of the Ridgemount School Council or if you wish to nominate someone for a leadership position on the School Council.
