Dear Parents,

We understand that many of you have been having problems accessing the Parent Portal and we thank you for your patience as our IT Department works to correct these issues.  In the meantime, if you have not already filled out a Student Attestation form, can you please do so and email it to our school email address before your child’s first day of school.  Please follow the steps below to access this form on the HWDSB website.  We do need these forms returned before Monday.

In a Google search, please type in HWDSB.  On the front page, click on the red box up top (School Reopening and Parent Portal Updates and Support) and it will take you to the COVID-19 updates.  On the next page, you will see 9 blue boxes.  Go down to the bottom right corner to COVID-19 Resources, click that box. It will then take you to another page called “Resources” with some more blue boxes. Click the top left corner one called “Student Screening”. On that page, you will see the Student Attestation Forms in different languages.  Please print out the one you prefer to use.  Check off the boxes, add your student’s name to the bottom of the page and sign your name.  Then take a picture or scan the form and email it to [email protected].  We need one form returned for each of your children.  Please also print off the Student Daily Screening Tool as you will need to check your child for these COVID-19 symptoms every day before sending them to school.

Please note that we will be having a staggered entry for the student’s return to school.  This will be done by the student’s last name.

Group A will be starting on Monday, September 14th and it will be for students with the last name’s A-K.  They will come on Monday, September 14th stay home on Tuesday, September 15th and return on Wednesday, September 16th and every day after that.

Group B will be starting on Tuesday, September 15th and it will be for students with the last name’s L-Z.  They will stay home on Monday, September 14th, come on Tuesday, September 15th and every day after that.

Transportation information will be provided to parents Sunday, September 13th by 6:00 pm on the HWSTS website.  Please also remember to sign up to the Parent Portal (found on the HWSTS transportation website) so you will be notified if your child’s bus is delayed for more than 10 minutes.
