Week at a Glance Jan 27-Jan 31 2020

We welcome Ms. Sherry as she will be taking on the Long Term Occasional role of Educational Assistant in the Grade 1 class working with Ms. Adamson.

A reminder that pizza will only be available to those students that have pre ordered or have used cash online to purchase pizza slices. Pizza slices will not be sold on pizza days.

Please remind your children to gather up and keep all of their belonging in their locker, on the shelves provided or in their backpacks. We have a lot of items showing up in out lost and found and as the weather gets colder students will need to bundle up.

We are also asking that those driving their children to school follow the parking signs on Ronaldshay Ave and Hester Street. As a courtesy to our neighbours do not block driveways as we have had complaints about this and the Parking Enforcement Office has been notified and will be monitoring our school zone and ticketing those violating the parking signs. To avoid congestion and unsafe situations in our school parking lot do enter the parking lot at entry or dismissal. We ask that you park in the designated stopping/parking zones on the streets. Thank you.

(NOTE:  SUB DAYS ARE CANCELLED UNITL FURTHER NOTICE)

Please be sure to register to our website  at:  https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/ridgemount/   to keep updated on school and HWDSB events.

Please continue to  inform and update teachers regarding your children (i.e., medical, allergies, special education needs, parent/guardian changes, address / phone).   If your child will need to have medication administered at school, there are mandatory forms to be completed and signed by the treating physicians so please request these forms from the office and have them completed as soon as possible. (NOTE: WE CANNOT ADMINISTER ANY FORM OF MEDICATION INCLUDING OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK COMPLETED).

If you require assistance or have any questions about completing these forms please contact your child’s teacher or the school office ( 905 575 1535).  Accurate and updated completion of these forms helps us to communicate better with you and to stay updated.

We ask that parents and guardians avoid entering the classrooms during entry and dismissal times unless you have made an appointment. Please come by the office and we will do our best to accommodate you.  This ensures the safety of all students and allows our staff to successfully carry on their responsibilities with as little disruption as possible.

Thank you and have a great week!
Mr. G. Carey – Principal & Mme. K. Kucic – Vice Principal
