Week of January 14-18, 2019

Ridgemount Families,

It was a great first week back at Ridgemount and we have all settled in nicely. Students have been following our Ridgemount Roadrunner Road to Success expectations. Please review these expectations with your children and have them share with you what they are. Please review Bus Safety behaviour and expectations as well.

Ridgemount Road To Success Expectations:

1. Always keep your hands and feet to yourself
2. Be where you’re supposed to be
3. Treat others how you want to be treated
4. Calm and quiet movement in the hall
5. Listen to and follow instruction from all adults in the school

Just a reminder to please ensure students are dressed for the colder weather that we have been experiencing. Please remind students to check the lost and found for items that have gone missing as there are many articles of clothing looking for their owners.

Please also be reminded to follow the signs located around the school regarding parking and school bus loading zones (at the front and east side of the school as well as in the back parking lot. We would like to ensure that safety of all our students and staff and our Bylaw Officers will be monitoring and giving out tickets to those.

We will ask that parents/guardians not enter the parking lot during entry/dismissal as we have had a couple of close calls with accidents and we must allow safe access for our school buses that drop students off in the parking lot. Please drop off on Ronaldshay and be sure students use the sidewalk and not walk through the parking lot.

A reminder that we have a School Council meeting tomorrow evening (Monday, January 14, 2019) at 6:30pm in the Library. All families are welcome and childcare will be provided.

Friday, January 25, 2019 is a PD Day – No school for students that day!
