Ridgemount Families:

Thank you to all parents/guardians for coming out to meet your child’s teacher last week.  A reminder to schedule an interview with your child’s teacher if you were unable to make it to either of the paernt-teacher interview sessions. Please remember to review your child’s progress report and complete the portion at the bottom of the second page, sign and return to your child’s teacher.

A reminder as the weather gets colder to ensure that your children are dressed appropriately for the weather (mittens, boots, winter coats etc.) as students are expected to go outdoors unless a warning is issued from the school board.

Thanks to all families for their contributions to our Me to We – Scare Hunger Away – fundraiser. We collected 322 non-perishable food items for this initiative. Thanks to Ms. Murray and her team for all of their hard work on this very worthwhile school initiative.

We would also like to thanks Ms. Caton for her organization of our R & R session at Ridgemount this past week. A great time to really get to establish caring relationships with other adults and students in the school.  During R&R Time students join various teachers and groups and have an opportunity to participate in a restful and relaxing activity and make some new connections in the school.  It was wonderful seeing all of the new connections being made while resting and relaxing  by enjoying and engaging activities. Thanks also to our assembly committee for their work organizing our Learning Skills assembly this past week. Congratulations to all of the Responsibility Award recipients and Ridgemount Recognition (a new certificate presented to students contributing and participating in worthwhile activities and initiatives outside of the classroom and school).  The names of all award recipients will be posted in our front foyer display case soon!
