Finding your child’s teacher on opening day

On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, we look forward to seeing all of our returning students and meeting all of our new students. In order for your child(ren) to be able to find their teacher, please make note of the following:

1. Between 8:45a.m. and 9:00a.m., school staff will begin to make their way onto our playground
2. Throughout the day, junior kindergarten students and parents will check in at the main office just prior to their appointment time
3. Grade 7 and 8 students will proceed to the gym via the door on the playground that takes you directly to the gym. Please do not use the front doors of the school.
4. Grade 1 to 6 students will be on the playground.  Students are asked to gather in the area close to the pylon displaying their grade. The pylons will be set up in the area where we line up for fire drills, etc.
5. Teachers will call out the names of students in their class at approximately 9:00a.m. Other staff members will also be available to assist students in finding their teacher as some grades have multiple classes (e.g. – grade 4 students are divided among 4 classes)

When teachers have gathered all of their students, they will proceed inside to kick-off the 2017-18 school year. At this same time, parents will cheer from outside the fence!
