Solar Eclipse Glasses

In anticipation of the rare total solar eclipse set to unfold on Monday, April 8, 2024, HWDSB in partnership with McMaster University, is providing solar eclipse viewers for all HWDSB students. Solar eclipse viewers must meet the international standard ISO 12312-2 for safe viewing and individuals should never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or through any device or filter other than ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses may cause permanent damage and even blindness. Families are reminded to make sure that the glasses are not damaged or scratched before use. Instructions for use can be found on the back side of the solar eclipse viewers.
