Letter regarding traffic incident

Dear Prince of Wales families,
We wanted to inform you about a traffic incident today involving a Prince of Wales student.
At the end of the day, a walking student was struck by a vehicle outside our school.
Witnesses quickly contacted emergency services. We are thankful for the response by paramedics and Hamilton Police Service. The student was taken to hospital but is expected to fully recover.
Prince of Wales is a caring community. Staff have been in contact with the student’s family.
We know this incident may be disturbing for other students. You may wish to talk with your child about the incident and the importance of pedestrian safety.
We want all students to know that support exists during and after incidents.
