News and Notes – October 24

Hello Families,

We had a great day of learning at school today during the PD day time. Our staff are learning about different things to continue to make Lake Avenue School a fantastic place to support the social and academic growth for EVERY student. We hope the students enjoyed the extra day of rest and enjoyed time with family and friends.

Next week we will hold our annual Halloween Parade on Friday October 31st. Families are welcome to come to the school to watch the children walk by in their costumes on the asphalt area at the back of the school. Students will enter the school as usual with the 8:50 bell and then start the parade right after attendance is taken (please arrive on time). Parents are asked to wait outside for the parade. Coffee and hot chocolate will be on sale – thank you parent council for making this happen!

If your child’s class is having a party, please remember if you are bringing any treats, please make sure they are nut free.
