News and Notes – February 27, 2026

Hello Lake Ave Families!

It was cold and snowy but we made it through February, well done! Let’s hope that March brings a little more sunshine and warmer weather.

For the next two week, families will be able to purchase school spirit wear online at Lake Avenue Lions :: JML Uniforms. This is not a school fundraiser; we wanted to create an opportunity for families to purchase school gear at the most affordable price we could secure. Orders will be placed online and then distributed at school sometime in late March. We hope you will enjoy the available selection.

There will be a Parent Council meeting on Monday March 2 at 12:50 PM. All are welcome. We will also be hosting the City of Hamilton Public Health Team on Monday March 2 to answer questions about vaccines and possible suspensions for students not vaccinated. If you received a vaccine notice and have questions about exemptions or how to get the vaccines needed, you are welcome to come to the school on Monday at 2:30 pm.
