News and Notes – January 9, 2026

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful break. It has been so lovely to reconnect with students this week. Although they may not admit it, I think many, many of our students actually missed school!

We have had a couple of staff changes over the break. Ms. N. Psarakis will be replacing Mrs. Brazil for FSL classes while she awaits the arrival of her new baby and Mr. Mosleh will be replacing Mr. Rissis who has accepted a full time job with another school board. We welcome our new staff members and wish our departing staff members well in the future.

This week were able to start using our new prayer space for students in grades 5-8. Our new washrooms for students in the portables should open in the next week or so, we are just waiting for final inspections.

Our field will remain closed when there is excessive ice, pools of water, or mud. This is not ideal but necessary to keep our building clean and to prevent injuries.

Pizza day – Every Thursday – you can buy tickets online or pay $2 per slice by Tuesday.

Popcorn Day – Wednesday $2 per bag

School Council – Monday January 12 at 12:50 PM

Chess Tournament – Tuesday January 13
