News and Notes – October 25, 2024
Hello Lake Avenue Families,
We have a busy week ahead next week with lots of fun for students in all classes.
October 30th will be our Fall Frenzy play day. Students should dress in layers for outside activities.
Although Halloween is not a celebration that everyone may participate in, there are many activities that will engage both those who are spectators and those who wish to fully participate.
On Halloween Day (October 31st) we will have our school parade. Students are encouraged to wear a costume or dress in black and orange if they wish to participate. Masks, cultural appropriation, and weapons are not permitted as part of student costumes at school. Parents are welcome to line the playground asphalt from 9:15 am to watch our students parade by in costumes and black and orange outfits. All students are welcome to participate or may choose to simply watch. Students will start school at 8:50 as usual and will go to their classes to drop off backpacks. Following attendance, teachers will lead classes outside for the fun. Please make sure your child arrives on time so they don’t miss out. Classes will also enjoy other events throughout the day.
Pizza Days – Please make sure your child hands in pizza tickets or money to their teacher by Tuesday each week for Thursday pizza orders. Tickets can be bought online each week from Friday -Monday at noon.
Thank you for subscribing – please tell a friend to do the same. If you need to contact me please email [email protected]
Have a great week,
Kelly McCrory, Principal
