Halloween & Fall Celebrations October 30

Dear Gatestone Families,

Gatestone will celebrate Halloween or fall-like activities on October 30th for students who wish to participate.

Students may dress up for our October 30th celebrations in costumes or fall-themed colours (e.g., orange, black, green).  Please review communication from your child’s homeroom teacher regarding individual classroom celebrations.

Costumes & Classroom celebrations:  

• Students may wear costumes to school that are appropriate for a school environment (e.g., no weapons, no costume masks that might impede vision, no inappropriate images, etc.).

• Student costumes must be able to safely accommodate a face covering as per COVID requirements

• Parades and in-person assemblies are not permitted at this time.  Gatestone will have a virtual celebration for students so each class can share their costume or fall-themed outfit. 

• Students are not permitted to share food.  You may send an individual treat for your child.  

• Students must maintain safe practices including physical distancing, hand hygiene and mask wearing
