Twice each year, HWDSB can submit applications for School Support Grants through the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success. This year, for the fall 2019 season, close to 30 applications were received and 23 grants were allocated from $750 to a maximum of $1,000. Grants are determined by the Allocation Committee, an extension of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, and in consultation with HWDSB’s Executive Council.
“We’re grateful to the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success for providing schools with the opportunity to apply for funding that contributes to achievement and well-being outcomes,” said Manny Figueiredo, Director of Education for HWDSB. “Whether these funds are for books, instruments, or additional resources that support learning and culture-building, our schools are finding innovative ways to level the playing field.”
