Gradual Entry

Hello Parent, Guardians and Caregivers,

On Wednesday December 9th we are going to be starting a gradual entry for students in the morning.  This means that the students will not line up, on the back playground.  When the 9:00 am bell rings there will be staff on the back doors and the students will be able to enter the building and hand sanitize. The bus students will enter through the front doors to lessen the numbers on the back playground and the portable students will go to their classroom instead of the gym to wait for the 9:15 am bell. This is very similar to our “rainy day” entry.

We are changing this entry due to the winter weather and student’s having more winter clothing to be hung on hooks.  With the gradual entry, we are hoping that this will eliminate the number of students in the hall with less chance for cross cohorting.  The gradual entry should also help start our day more efficiently with more instructional time in class and not spending a lot of time in the hallway!
