Weekly Reminders from Earl Kitchener School…

Note about the Nutrition Program ending on Thursday, March 29th: Did you know that our Nutrition Program is funded by Tastebuds, Hamilton’s Student Nutrition Collaborative?  With this year’s allocation of funds depleted, our program will be wrapping up next week at the end of March. We welcome any feedback on what you liked/didn’t like about the program this year!  Note that students may continue to visit the office should they require an extra snack at Nutrition Break. If you are able, please ensure that your child comes to school with enough food.

School Sign: A programmer will be visiting the school next week to fix the time on our school sign!

Scholastic Learning Zone: A notice was sent to students a few weeks ago about the online reading program that can be used in the school and at home by all of the students. Students were give their own personalized log in and password to access the system. The program can be accessed here –   https://slz01.scholasticlearningzone.com/slz-portal/#/login3/CANP85P

Family Math Night: Come out to Family Math Night on April 12th at 6:30 pm in the school gym! A flyer with all the details was sent home this week.  Please register at [email protected] or by returning your form to the office. Presented by the EK School Council with funding from a Parent Reaching Out (PRO) Grant.

UPCOMING…..

Kindergarten: Registration for Kindergarten has started. If you have a child who was born in 2014 they are eligible to register for JK. Children born in 2013 that are not already attending Earl Kitchener are eligible to register for SK. Registration forms are available on our website as well as in the office. You will need 2 pieces of ID when registering (proof of birth and proof of address). If you are unsure of what forms of ID are acceptable, please feel free to contact the office. The best time to register for Kindergarten is between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

April 2nd: Easter Monday – NO SCHOOL

April 5th: Mad Science – Final Session

April 6th: Registrations due for Family Math Night
