Kindergarten Dismissal Change…

KINDERGARTEN DISMISSAL CHANGES AS OF MONDAY DECEMBER 7^th

To ease congestion on Stanely Avenue at the end of the day, we will be returning to the way we dismissed the Kindergarten students last year.  At 3:05 p.m., one of the K team will signal parents at the Homewood Avenue gate and at the parking lot gate to open the gates and enter the playground.  When people waiting at the Stanley Avenue gate see the parking lot people walking in, that is your cue to enter the playground.  PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE PLAYGROUND BEFORE 3:05 p.m. and/or A TEACHER SIGNALS YOU TO DO SO.  Pick up your child and then please move back behind the pylons that will be set up.  We need to keep the area at the bottom of the stairs clear for teachers to dismiss students in the grades.  Keeping the upper tarmac area clear also gives K educators clear sight lines which in turn helps us dismiss efficiently and safely.
