*  Cycle Mania for Grades 3 and 4

*  Nutrition Program – parfaits with cooked rhubarb, vanilla yogurt, and granola

 

Wednesday, May 27th

*  Track and Field (7:55 a.m.)

 

Thursday, May 28th

*  Yoga (10:30 – 10:50 a.m.)

*  Nutrition Program – zucchini, cucumber, yogurt dip, mini whole wheat pitas

 

 

 

Earl Kitchener School’s 100th Anniversary Was a HUGE Success!!

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who not only attended, but helped out in any way for our 100th Anniversary celebration on Saturday.  The event was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without your assistance.  Special thanks to Mrs. Bratuz, Mrs. Cathy Koop, Mrs. Allison Savage, Mrs. Jennifer Bonesteel (to name just a few), the entire committee, volunteers, bakers, decorating and clean up helpers, performing artists, teachers, and more.  All of your efforts did not go unnoticed, and we would like to thank each and every one of you!  Thank you!!!

 

 

 

Skipping Club

It is hard to believe it is that time of year again but skipping club is here!  Skipping club is open to all students from grades 1 through 5.  The club creates a great atmosphere of community between younger and older students.  Students are reminded to wear proper footwear please.  Students are expected to follow our school code of conduct during skipping club each week.  This year the club will take place on the following dates:

*  Tuesday May 26th

*  Tuesday June 2nd

*  Tuesday June 9th
The club will run from 8:00 to 8:35 a.m. weekly on the above dates.  Please review and return the  permission forms to Mlle. Flemming or Mme. Bulloch if your child wants to join the club.  Please check the school Twitter account for updates as the club will not run if there is inclement weather.  We look forward to seeing you out there! – Mlle. Grade 2s and 3s are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel, running shoes or bare feet and comfortable clothing.  Yoga is a great way to relax, strengthen muscles, break a sweat and have fun!  If your child has not attended, but is interested in attending, they are more than welcome to join us.  See you this Thursday!  ~Mme Collins

 

 
EK Staff Appreciation Day

We are celebrating EK Staff Appreciation Day on Thursday June 4, 2015.  Donations can be dropped off in the staff room in the morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Suggestions are listed in the link below and family favourites are welcome as well.  Please be sure to label all containers with your child’s name and room number.  Looking forward to celebrating another great tradition at EK!  The link is… https://ekteacherappreciation.bringit.bz/public/8fe369

 

 

Absences and Extended Vacations

Just a friendly reminder to please keep us informed if your child will be absent due to an early or extended vacation, illness, an appointment, etc.  Our phone lines are open 24-hours a day, and you can leave a detailed voicemail message by calling (905) 528-0223.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, especially during this busy time of year.
