Yoga

Yoga is a great way to relax, strengthen muscles, break a sweat, and have fun!  Students are exploring a variety of beginner poses, breathing exercises, body awareness, relaxation techniques, and positive thinking.  Yoga takes place every Day 4 during the first half of 1st Nutrition Break for Grade 2 and Grade 3 students.  Typically we have Yoga in the gym but with the nicer weather, we can begin to have Yoga outdoors!  Students are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel, running shoes or bare feet, and comfortable clothing.  If your child has not attended, but is interested, they are more than welcome to join us!  They will receive a permission form to be signed and returned at our next yoga meeting.  Yoga will occur on these upcoming dates:

Day 4:  Wednesday, May 13, 2015 (Cancelled due to “Run 4 Change”)

Day 4:  Thursday, May 21, 2015

Day 4:  Thursday, May 28, 2015

Day 4:  Thursday, June 4, 2015

Day 4:  Friday, June 12, 2015

Day 4:  Friday, June 19, 2015

Skipping Club

It is hard to believe it is that time of year again but skipping club is here!  Skipping club is open to all students from grades 1 through 5.  The club creates a great atmosphere of community between younger and older students.  Students are reminded to wear proper footwear please.  Students are expected to follow our school code of conduct during skipping club each week.  This year the club will take place on the following dates:

* Tuesday May 19th

* Tuesday May 26th

* Tuesday June 2nd

* Tuesday June 9th
The club will run from 8:00 to 8:35 a.m. weekly on the above dates.  Please review and return the  permission forms to Mlle. Flemming or Mme. Bulloch if your child wants to join the club.  Please check the school Twitter account for updates as the club will not run if there is inclement weather.  We look forward to seeing you out there! – Mlle. Flemming & Mme. Bulloch
