We are happy to have the Greenville Optimist Club serving food at the upcoming Open House on Thursday, April 30th. Please note that they are CASH ONLY! Prices are as follows:

Please note that, due to availability, we had to make a change to the menu for this week. Thursday, we will be serving the bagels, cream cheese, and vegetables that were planned for the Tuesday. Thanks for your understanding!
Here is the menu for next week and a sign up list for helpers. We need help from 8:50 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday to prepare food and deliver it to classes. We are also looking for a long-term helper to be our Appliance Manager (ok, there is no way to make it sound glamorous). We need someone to check the fridges once a week and clean them as necessary. Not glamorous but necessary!!

Earl Kitchener School’s 100th Anniversary Is Coming Soon!!
We hope that you saved the date! Saturday, May 23rd from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. we will be holding a celebration for staff, students, and parents, present and past, to take a walk through the last 100 years at Earl Kitchener. We are looking for Volunteers to help with the event. Have a look at the links below and pick a way to support the staff and 100th Anniversary! There are some spots for you to work with your kids…so please have a look!
We are also looking for financial support to make the celebration and all of the projects planned possible. Please check out information on how to donate as an individual or as a business on www.ek100.ca. Pictures of the donor rewards sheets are included here as well.
** We are looking for donated decorations (purple and yellow, please!!) – streamers, balloons, plastic disposale table cloths, etc, can be dropped off just inside the Staff Room.

AND… a live music show from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. (outside, weather permitting) featuring many of the Artists from the “OK EK, We’re 100!” CD project… and Special Friends of EK, Turkey Rhubarb will perform for the kids! Watch for more details coming soon about the live show!

Track and Field Club Practice
Just a reminder to both parents and students that the Track and Field Club practice continues on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:55 a.m. And, if it is raining, please check Twitter (ek_hwdsb) and/or the website.
Yoga
Yoga begins this coming Wednesday, April 29th Day 4 during the first half of the first nutrition break for Grade 2 and 3 students. Participants are encouraged to bring water, running shoes / bare feet, a towel and / or yoga mat. We look forward to seeing you!
