Lost and Found!

The Lost and Found is overflowing with coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, pants, hats, and mitts.  Please have your children check for any missing items.  And due to fire regulations, we cannot have more than the one small box located outside of the main office for a Lost and Found, and it cannot be overflowing onto the floor.  As a result, this Friday, February 27th, our Lost and Found volunteer will be gathering up any items that are left and taking them to be donated to the Good Shepherd.  So please remember to label your child’s belongings as the lost and found box will be reviewed every few days to return labelled items to your child’s classroom.  Thank you for your assistance.

Book Swap – We Want Your FDK to Grade 5 Books

The Earl Kitchener Annual Book Swap (which allows kids to “purchase” books donated by other students for a nominal donation to the library) is happening Tuesday, March 10th this year, but we’re starting to collect donations now! Please look over your shelves for any good condition books that you no longer read or need. We need English and French books (picture books, chapter books, and all non-fiction) for ages 4 – 12. All donations should be left in the main floor photocopy room (marked Conference Room). The Book Swap runs all day for the children. Books 25¢ each.

Absences

We would also like to remind you to please keep us informed if your child will be absent due to an early vacation, illness, an appointment, etc.  Our phone lines are open 24-hours a day, and you can leave a detailed voicemail message by calling (905) 528-0223.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, especially during this busy time of year.

Have a wonderful weekend! Please stay warm!
