Additional Information About Student Screening and Return to School

Hamilton’s Public Health Department and the HWDSB have adapted the student screener information and flow charts, both for consideration of families at home as well as supporting health-related decision making while students are at school.

Please be aware that, if your child is now absent from school due to illnesses on the checklists, you will be asked to complete a return to school attestation.  The attestation has been created to help parents and guardians to understand under what circumstances a child should or shouldn’t return to school.

If, at any time, you are unsure if your child should return or not, please feel free to contact the Dundana office at 905.628.2622 and Mrs. Bentley or Mrs. Keery Bishop will work with you to help assess your specific situation.

All of us at Dundana really appreciate how carefully families are monitoring children’s health and supporting these protocols.
