Immediate Change to Daily Student Screening Procedures

With COVID-19 cases and key trends remaining low in our community, Hamilton Public Health Services is cautiously lifting the requirement to confirm the completion of daily screening in schools. While self (parent) screening prior to the start of the school day continues to be required, schools are no longer required to verify screening for students.

Other public health measures and protocols continue to be important in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our schools.  If further changes to protocols occur, this will be communicated to families here.

DO:  continue to screen your child daily using the provincial screener, found here:  https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/

DON’T:  initial the verification calendar in student agendas/important bags.
