Orange Shirt Day – Monday, September 30

On Monday September 30, HWDSB marks Orange Shirt Day to foster awareness of the Indigenous experience and to honour the survivors, victims and lasting effects of Canada’s Residential Schools.  Fall was when children were taken from their homes.  Let’s never forget.

We encourage our students to wear orange on Monday to honour the survivors, victims and lasting effects of Canada’s Residential Schools.
