At Dr. Davey Elementary School, we believe that education is a shared responsibility between the home, the school and the community. Supportive parents & care givers, caring educators and active community members are partners in education working together for the benefit of children.We welcome any parents that are interested in being a part of Dr. Davey’s School Council.
What is School Council?
The role of School Council is to advise School Staff of recommendations for our School Improvement Plan. It provides a forum through which members can contribute to improving student achievement and school performance. Working in an advisory capacity, we provide input and make recommendations to the school administrative team on a wide range of topics. Examples of areas that may require consultation with School Council include academics (Literacy, Numeracy, and Learning Skill Development), Positive School Climate (Learning Skills), and Parent Engagement to support student achievement.
