HWDSB remains committed to strengthening nutrition programming and food literacy in our schools. Initiatives like the Great Big Crunch support this work by fostering positive, school-wide engagement around healthy eating and food literacy. We are pleased to share that the Great Big Crunch (organized by Tastebuds) will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Since 2008, students and community members across Hamilton have participated in a synchronized apple “crunch,” learning about healthy eating and the importance of local food.
