2023-24 French Immersion Application Process
HWDSB offers French Immersion programming beginning in Grade 1. It is designed to provide English-speaking children with opportunities to become skilled speaking in French as well as English. Upon completion of secondary school, students are expected to be proficient in French. The curriculum for subjects taught in French is the same as in the English program.

• French Immersion Information Night for Families
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 7 – 8 p.m.
• Application process opens for Senior Kindergarten students only
Monday, November 28, 2022 at 9 a.m.
• Deadline for applications
Monday, January 16, 2023 at 9 a.m.
• Program location offered to families
Friday, February 24, 2023 by 4 p.m.
• Deadline for program acceptance and registration
Friday, March 10, 2023 by 4 p.m.
