French Immersion Registration Process

French Immersion is a proven way to acquire excellent French language skills.  This HWDSB program is an option for students beginning Grade 1 (born in 2016).

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

Please let me take this opportunity to thank you for choosing HWDSB to help your child get off to the best possible start at school.  The primary years are enriching for young learners as they explore the world around them, learn to solve problems and make new friends.

At HWDSB, we also know that each student is unique in his or her learning, and we work to ensure that our programs help all students reach their full potential.  French Immersion is one such program.

French Immersion is a proven way of acquiring excellent language skills in French.  The French Immersion program at HWDSB is specifically designed for parents who do not speak French but want their children to speak both official languages.  The program is open to all students in Hamilton-Wentworth, starting in Grade 1.

• All applications after this date are considered late

• Program location offered to parents/guardians

• Deadline for program acceptance and registration
