Secure Schools Practice Drills

Dear Families,

Our school will be holding a secure schools protocol drill, so that staff and students are prepared in case of an emergency.   The practice drills will occur on November 30, 2020.  We will begin by practicing a “Shelter in Place” drill at 2:10 pm.  This will be followed by a “Hold and Secure” drill at 2:25 pm, and finally a “Lockdown” drill at 2:40 pm.

The drill may involve a visit by a member of the Hamilton Police Service on November 30. We appreciate the co-operation of our students and staff during the drill.

It is also important that we all remain aware of secure schools terminology used in all of Ontario’s publicly funded schools.
