End of School Year Message

Dear Bellmoore Families,

Thank you for a wonderful end to the 2024/25 school year! We had an incredible year end with many spectacular moments that we hope turn into great memories for our bulldog family. Over the last few months there was so much happening at Bellmoore, such as Nemo the Musical, Open House, Kindergarten Family Picnic, a variety of Athletic opportunties, class/grade trips and hosting our special guest speaker, Autumn Peltier! Thank you for supporting the busy year end on from home.

A few special announcements:

Mr. Scott and Mme. Scornaienchi are retiring this year!

Mme. Scornaienchi has served students in the Bellmoore community for 30 years! She was a wonderful French teacher for our intermediate students during her final years at Bellmoore, and shared her love for the subject matter daily. She was a well-respected teacher, and we know that students will be missed! We wish her all the best in retirement!

Mr. Scott was one of our grade 7/8 teachers for the past 12 years of Bellmoore’s opening. Mr. Scott was also a very well-respected educatora at Bellmoore that always looked out for the best way to teach and inspire his students both in the classroom, and to be responsible citizens of a greater community. He is thankful for all of the memories made at Bellmoore and will be missed very much, as well!

Mrs. Hayes will not be with  HWDSB in the fall. We congratulate Mrs. Hayes on her recent promotion to Principal! Mrs. Hayes served many students at Bellmoore, and worked with families to support student achievement and well-being on a larger scale within Bellmoore. She will be missed, and we wish her all the best on the next chapter of her journey!

We welcome Mrs. Boulton to our leadership team! Mrs. Boulton has landed with us at Bellmoore, with a wealth of experience as she completed her journey as Secondary School Vice-Principal over the last few years. She is an excellent addition to our Bellmoore family, and we look forward to having her join in the capacity of Vice-Principal!

Looking ahead:

Class placements will be available on the Parent Portal in August. Please be advised that a tremendous amount of time and effort goes into class placements that involves a team approach. Ultimately, our educators who work with the students daily, are an integral voice in our placement process and have tried their best to work collaboratively in the process. There will not be any class changes in the fall, unless our school is re-organized in October. The re-organization would impact your child if a class is collapsed, or opens up due to the enrollment numbers at that time. Every year, our students have the opportunity to build peer relationships, grow and learn in new spaces. Transitions can be a challenge for some students, so please continue to re-assure your child using resilience and optimism, where possible! They are part of a fantastic school and all classes in our school are great places to learn and grow!

Once again, special thanks for all that you do at home!

Wishing all of our Bellmoore families a wonderful summer!

Mrs. S. Milinovich

Principal
