School Council Reminder

Balaclava’s School Council will hold the first meeting and election on Thursday, October 12 at 6 p.m. in the Balaclava library.  All parents/guardians of current Balaclava students are welcome to self nominate for the elected positions (Chair, Co Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Member-at-Large) OR to attend as a non-voting participant at any meeting.

The School Council allows parents/guardians to work in conjunction with the Principal and school staff to support school success planning goals, encourage parent and community involvement and promote positive attitudes towards public education, in alignment with Ministry Regulation 612.

We hope you will consider participating in the Council, either as a member or a participant.
