Friday October 2nd Update

The weather is turning cooler and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Students are beginning to need jackets and sweaters etc. particularly in the mornings. It is highly recommended that student names be placed on the inside tags of clothing as much as possible to help keep lost items to a minimum (we cannot place student belongings together in a lost and found).

Thank you to the many families who have made payment for the school agenda on School Cash (accessible on the Portal). If this is still on your to do list, we would appreciate payment as soon as possible.

We have collected back all iPads from students attending Balaclava in person that we loaned out this past spring however, only 7 chargers were returned. We know these are small items and easily overlooked, however they are costly to replace. Please have a look around your homes – and if you have one of our chargers, we would appreciate having it returned as soon as possible. We are awaiting the delivery of iPads we provided to the system to assist with equity of access and have requested support with resetting all devices before they are put back into circulation for school use.

Please continue to use the Safe Arrival feature on the Parent Portal to report all absences and notify of any appointments.

We have been notified of a revision to the School and Child Care Screening Tool required by the Ministry of Health. Please find it here: Screening Children v1.0 2020-10-01 FINAL

Thank you for your continued support.
