Roof status update

Now that the roof is clear of snow and ice roofers have made repairs in an attempt to control leaks until the new roof is installed.

All items identified by the Electrical Safety Authority have been addressed by qualified ESA contractors.

Any removed or damaged ceiling tiles are being replaced.

Drip pans will remain in place to safely capture any water that is able to infiltrate.

We continue to inspect the condition of the building for any signs of mould daily. At this time, no signs of mould have been found.

We will have representation from Facilities along with our Superintendent, Sue Dunlop, and Trustee Penny Deathe in attendance for our next School Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. on April 2nd (note date change). All families are welcome to attend for further updates on plans to resolve facilities concerns at Balaclava School.
