Roof Update – Balaclava Public School

The following protocols are in place to ensure safety and security at Balaclava School.

*Starting tomorrow the area of leaks will be inspected for mold and any other microbial growth.  This will be documented daily by professionals.

*The roofing consultant will be on site tomorrow to see if there are any other steps that can be taken to reduce the volume of water on the roof.

*We will continue to install drip pans as required to divert the water.

*We will continue to inspect the areas where the leaks are to ensure that the areas are safe from a hallway traffic perspective. (Buckets and pails)

*We will continue to identify water infiltrating the lights and call in electricians as necessary.

*We will continue to attempt repairs as the weather allows.  The hope is that over the March break we can pump off the water and slow down the infiltration.
