School Alert

On Wednesday June 15, 2016 just shortly after 2:30pm, Hamilton Police officers were dispatched into the area of Central Avenue and Summerhill Avenue after receiving reports of a male standing in the intersection and inappropriately touching himself while watching children playing sports in the field at Viscount Montgomery Elementary School.

It was indicated by a witness that the man was seated on a bicycle. The witness yelled at the man, who then fled in an unknown direction.

Police officers searched the area and were unable to locate the man. The officers spoke to the school staff and advised them of the incident.

The suspect is described as;
White Male, 55 years old, white beard, blue baseball hat, sun glasses, blue shorts, blue short sleeved shirt

Hamilton Police wish to remind all students walking to and from school that they should be aware of their surroundings and circumstances. If at all possible they should walk in pairs or with an adult. If they encounter anyone unknown to them, they should immediately contact a responsible adult, guardian, school staff member, their parent or the police, as soon as possible.
