Lead Test

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers

Recently, our school underwent annual water testing for lead, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07).

As a result of this testing, concerns were identified with two sinks in the staff room and a water fountain on the second floor.

One of the sinks in the staffroom has been temporarily removed from service until corrective action can take place. The other sink and the fountain passed upon flushing of the fixtures. As a result, we will continue to flush all drinking water fixtures each day.

In addition to informing the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, our Health & Safety representatives have consulted with Public Health to ensure appropriate corrective actions have been taken for the safety of your child. This includes any requirements prescribed in the regulation as well as any additional actions required by Public Health.
