Message from the Principal

Good afternoon.  As we head into our week long break I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Westview students, staff and community.  I know that this has been a challenging year for us all, however, I am always reassured when I observe the commitment of our staff, the resilience demonstrated by our students, and the ongoing support of our families and caregivers.   Whatever our return to school will look like, we will receive direction from the board and manage it as we have up to now, together.

Today our students were encouraged to take home personal belongings and ensure they have their usernames and passwords in the event we move to remote.  Any further directions will be shared on the board website pending any decisions by public health.  While we await word on what school will look like after the break, I want to encourage everyone to do their best to set aside their worries and take the upcoming week to focus on rest and wellness.   Students are reminded that although we are off, it is important that they continue to follow public health measures.  This is the best way to help ensure that we can keep our schools open.

Enjoy your break Wolverines!  We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Ms. C

Updated:  please be aware that all students will require an updated Return to School Attestation that reflects how the student felt beginning April 9th.  Attestation forms (including translated versions) will be located on the parent portal,   No student may return to school without submitting a Return to School Attestation Form.  HWDSB will be sending a message home to all families regarding this matter.
