Westview 2020 Holiday Message from Ms. Crapsi

Greetings. As we approach the final days of school for 2020 I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff, students and parents for all of your care and support for each other and our school community during what has been an extraordinary time for us all. The transition in 2020 from our traditional schooling, to distance learning, to a combination of in-person and remote learning since September, has required a tremendous amount of trust, empathy, resilience, flexibility, compassion, collaboration and commitment by all. I have been humbled by the efforts that have been made by our staff, our students, and our families and caregivers to support each other and keep us all safe. It has been our collaborative efforts that have allowed us to stay open and provide a variety of supports to students and families based on the many different scenarios faced by us all.

As we head into 2021, and as we all see that a vaccine is on the horizon, may we all find a renewed strength to return after the holidays as we head into whatever the second half of the year may bring. While none of us knows yet what that might be, what I do know, is that we will all get through it together, as we have so far, by working together and supporting each other every step of the way.

I can not stress enough how important it is that we all continue to follow the public health protocols over the holidays. Restricting your celebrations to those within your households and continuing with distancing, hand washing and mask wearing. I encourage you to explore new ways of celebrating either virtually or outdoors or other ways that allow you to connect, celebrate and still stay safe so that we can return after the holidays safely and without delay.

On behalf of the Westview staff, we wish you all a restful and restorative holiday full of peace and good will.

Sincerely,

Principal Crapsi
