Evacuation at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Today

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

This is a letter to let you know that we briefly evacuated our building this afternoon at about 1:45 p.m.

Our school security alarm sounded and our Facilities Management staff responded. The alarm was turned off which allowed for re-entry to the building. Students and staff were outside for about 10 minutes.

We will investigate the reason our alarm sounded. There was no security issue and all students and staff were safe.

We are proud of our students for their behaviour during the incident.
