Rousseau Remembers – donating to the Poppy Fund

Poppy Donations to the Canadian Legion 

Rousseau students will receive their poppy from the Canadian Legion on Thursday, November 11th before our staff & student Remembrance Day Ceremony. Schools are unable to collect donations, but please consider donating directly to the Canadian Legion.

Here are a few of the ways that poppy donations are a big help to Veterans: 

• Help to provide money for food ,heating costs, clothing, prescription medication, medical appliances, and equipment, essential home repairs and emergencies 
• Housing accommodation and care facilities for Veterans 
• Funding for Veteran Transition Programs that are directly related to the training, education and support needs of Veterans and their families 
• Veteran drop-in centres and services in communities where Veterans would benefit 

Veterans helped Canada and other countries, too – now it is our turn to help them!
