May 1st – Music Monday 11:40 a.m. – Parents welcome

Monday, May 1st @ Rousseau Gymnasium, 11:40 a.m.

Organized by the Coalition for Music Education, Music Monday is an annual national event celebrating the importance of music in our lives and especially in our schools. Rousseau is one of hundreds of schools across Canada who will participate. All Rousseau classes will participate in showcasing the music education happening in their classrooms. There will be performances by

• K-3 classes (Mrs. Stinson)
• 3/4 – 6 classes (Ms Fawcett)
• Primary Choir (Mrs. Stinson & Mrs. Bishop)
• Junior Choir (Ms Fawcett).

Please join us to celebrate Music Education at Rousseau School on Monday!

** We ask that one adult per family attend, in order to keep our audience at a safe size for the gymnasium’s capacity limit **

The final performance of Music Monday is the “Music Monday Anthem”, which changes each year and is composed by a Canadian composer. This year’s anthem will be sung by the whole school and is called “Music is Our Medicine” by Mimi O’Bonsawin & Nicholas Ma.
